KLT Gourmet System Introduction

Clear the default menu

After installing the KLT Gourmet System, you will see the dishes in the system. It is recommended that you clear the system’s own dishes to set the menu of your restaurant.
1. Enter KLT Gourmet System’s backstage management – restaurant management – advanced parameters – menu initialization import
2. Click the empty menu button, the system will clear all the first level menu, second level menu, and dishes.

Add cuisine

Add a new cuisine category
The menu structure of KLT Gourmet System as follows: a large category of cuisine–> a subcategory of cuisine–> cuisine. Under each major category, there must be a subcategory.

Instructions for adding cuisine:
1. Enter KLT Gourmet System backstage management – sales management – general dishes and packages,
2. Newly added class: The black area on the left is the large category of cuisine and a subcategory of cuisine.
Add a large category by clicking the right mouse button on the black area (or click the new increase class in the lower left corner) to add a new category.
Remarks: The name of the category consists of “number” + “-” + “name”. Please note: “number” and “-” cannot be modified.
3. Add a subcategory: Right-click on a large category, select Add a subcategory or click on the new category in the lower left corner to add a new category under this category.

Add a new cuisine
1. Select a sub category and click on the “new cuisine”.
2. Fill in the name of cuisine, price, specification, and save in the pop-up window, and successfully add a cuisine.

Delete a cuisine
Select the menu category, select the leftmost column to select the cuisine you want to delete, click into the recycle bin, delete successfully, if you want to permanently delete this menu, click to delete it completely.

How to set up the printer for the first time?

The Printer Setup Wizard is a handy tool to help you set up your printer quickly. For the first time using KLT Gourmet System software, it is recommended that you use the printer setup wizard to complete the setting of the printer in the system backstage management.

The procedure of setting up a cashier printer and a kitchen printer as following:

Install the printer driver.
Enter KLT Gourmet System Backstage Management – Hardware and Employees – Printer Setup Wizard
The first is the cash register printer.
Select the printer model (or name)
Paper width / mm
Cutter (Note: If the printer comes with a cutter, please tick it; if not, do not check it!)
Print header of invoice
Print footer
Click Next to set up the kitchen printer.
Click Enable and set the target stall that the kitchen printer would be handle, such as “hot dishes”.
Configuration of kitchen printer includes:

Printer model
Tickets for single order and / or overall order for each table
Cut paper (Note: If the printer comes with a cutter, please tick; if not, do not check!)
Click Next and click Finish to complete the Printer Setup Wizard.

Print the billing statement & receipt

Print billing statement by one computer
The statement will be printed automatically at the time of payment, and the cashier printer will issue a cashier receipt when the checkout is completed.

How to print two billing statement?
1. Enter the background management program – restaurant management – advanced parameters – macro settings,
2. Select 33-PRINTCHK_TWICE, the configuration value is 1
3. Save and restart the front desk cashier program, the settings take effect.
4. After performing the payment operation at the order receiving cashier, you can choose whether to print more than one.

How to print billing statement by multiple computers?
If there are multiple computers in the system, and it is needed each computer can print the billing statement, you need to install the USB port cashier printer driver on each computer, and refer to the steps of the printer setting wizard, set up the cashier printer.

Print kitchen order tickets

Print the tickets in different food stalls
After setting up the kitchen printer in the previous setup wizard, you need to set the corresponding printing unit for each cuisine (the printing unit is only for the kitchen order, for example, the hot dish should be printed in the hot dish stall, the wine is in the bar; the cashier order statement prints all dishes by default).

Single dish
Enter sales management – general dishes and packages, double-click on a cuisine, and set the corresponding print file for it.
For example, Hainan Chicken, the corresponding print group is set as hot dish, click save and close.

Cuisine setup
Select a cuisine category and click on the batch settings above.
Open the KLT Gourmet System back-end management – tool – fault detection tool, restart the printer service to make the changes take effect.

How to print 2 copies for the kitchen order tickets
1. Enter the background management program – hardware management – printer management – printing unit, in the printer unit corresponding to the kitchen order, add the same printer, save.
2. Enter KLT Gourmet System backstage management – sales management – general dishes and packages, select the desired dishes or dishes, set its printing unit to the printing unit set above, and save.
3. Restart the front desk Gourmet System, you can print 2 copies of the kitchen order for now.

Print confirm order tickets and pre-pay statements

The pre-pay statements printer defaults as same as the cashier printer.

Print a pre-pay statements
Considering that most restaurants do not need to print pre-sales orders, in order to reduce the cost of printing paper, KLT Gourmet System order sets the pre-settlement to manual printing.

In the front-end interface, double-click a table in used, go to the payment interface, and choose to print the pre-statement to print out the pre-statement.

New software print pre-sales
1. The new version of the software adds a pre-sales note to support WeChat QR code scan code payment, in the cashier background management – restaurant management – restaurant basic information, configure the WeChat merchant number
2. Return to the POS to place an order, and then click to print the pre-statement, the QR code will be displayed under the pre-seal ticket, and the customer can scan the WeChat payment.

Confirm order tickets
After the waiter send the orders to kitchen on the computer, a confirm order tickets would be print and place on the guest’s table. When the dish already sent to customers, the staff will use a pen to cross out the dish on the confirm order tickets as a voucher. When the order is completed, all the dish on the confirm order tickets should be crossed out.

The confirm order tickets is defaulted to be print by the pre-statement printers.

Computer ordering – manually print confirm order tickets
After the waiter orders the food on the computer, he can directly print the confirm order tickets by clicking the “print confirm order tickets” at the bottom of ordering interface.

Mobile/tablet ordering – automatically print confirm order tickets after sending the order to kitchen
Open KLT Gourmet System background management–table setting–30407 menu printing group, select the printing unit you want to print, then click batch setting, save, restart the Gourmet System to take effect.

Table fast food

For different types of restaurants, KLT Gourmet System Management software offers two working modes: table mode (default) and fast food mode (requires manual setting).

Table mode
Set up a business location
Open KLT Gourmet System back-end management – sales management – table settings, click on the bottom left corner ** + business location ** to add a business location.

Setting the table
New table
Click on **+ to the left of a business location and click on + Table ** below to add a new table.

Delete a table
In the table setting interface, select a table, click Delete in the lower left corner; or right click on a table and select Delete table to delete the table.

Fast food mode
The fast food mode is suitable for fast food restaurants, milk teas, pastry shops, etc.

Setting
1. Enter KLT Gourmet System backstage management – hardware and employees – POS terminal

(1) If you only have one computer, check the fast food mode and save.
(2) If there are multiple computers, first select the corresponding computer. Then hook up the fast food mode and save it.

Restart the foreground program to take effect.

Other parameters
Enter KLT Gourmet System backstage management – restaurant management – basic parameters – basic information of the restaurant,

Set these items:

Enter the grade note: Do you need to enter the grade when you pay?

Delivery method: Choose the way to send food in the fast food mode, including not automatically sending out, automatically sending the food when the order is placed, and automatically sending the food when the order is placed.

Restart the foreground program to take effect.

Set employee account

Add a new employee account
The restaurant needs to set up corresponding employee accounts for all employees to better manage employees, such as employee permissions, performance, and so on.
Enter KLT Gourmet System back-end management – hardware and employees – employee settings, enter the employee settings page.
Click Add to add an employee account. You can edit the name of the employee, the name displayed on the bill, ID number, login password, employee level, employee card number, and more.

Delete employee account prompt: 999 account is an administrator account, please do not delete it! In the employee setting interface, right-click an employee account and click Delete employee; or select an employee account and click Delete in the lower left corner to delete the employee account. Change Password If you need to change the login password of an employee, select the employee, click Reset Password, enter the new password, click OK and save to restart the foreground.

Discounts and service fees

Discount
Add a 8% discount
Open KLT Gourmet System Backstage Management – Sales Management – Discounts

Go to the discount settings page, click Add in the lower left corner, edit the name on the right, and tick the 10404 proportional discount priority in the 10403 directory, fill in the 12403 discount ratio, and enter the 12,10407 wipe type to choose not to zero. Save and close, restart the front desk cashier program, it will take effect.

Give customers a $10 cash discount
Add a discount, fill in the discount of 10 yuan in the name, check the 10406 ​​custom discount, then fill in 10 at the 10402 discount amount, save and close, restart the foreground program to take effect.

Delete a discount
On the discount page, right click on a discount method, choose to delete the discount, or click on a discount, click on the bottom left corner to delete, you can delete a discount method. Save and restart the foreground to take effect.

Service fee
Add a 10% service charge
Enter KLT Gourmet System back-end management – sales management – service fee, click on the lower left corner to add, edit the name to 10% service fee, check 10304 proportion priority, set the service fee ratio to 10. That is to charge 10% of the service fee, save and close, restart the foreground program to take effect.

Delete a service fee
Enter the service fee page, right click on a service fee category, click to delete the service fee; or click on a service fee category, click on the delete in the lower left corner to delete a service fee, save and restart the foreground program to take effect.

Log in to the frontend

Account login
The default user ID is 999 and the password is blank. You can log in by clicking 999 and clicking Confirm.
Other examples: If your account number is 101 and the password is 123, please enter 101123 and click OK to log in.

Making orders

  1. New orders: Log in to KLT Gourmet System, double click on an empty table, enter the number of people.
  2. Order: In the ordering interface, the left margin is the menu interface. The middle column is a large category of dishes. Clicking on the menu will display the menu sub-category on the right.
  3. Start ordering: Select the category of dishes – the small category of dishes – dishes.
  4. Select the dishes in the menu, you can delete, modify the quantity and price, modify the seasonings and practices. For example, it is necessary to temporarily change the price of Hainan Chicken to $40. Select the menu, click on the price change at the bottom left of the interface, enter 40 in the pop-up dialog box, click OK.
  5. Send to the kitchen: Click “send to kitchen”, the kitchen will start the process after receiving the order.

Checkout

By default, 8 kinds of billing methods are supported: cash, bank card, WeChat, Alipay, membership card, vouchers, and Meituan. You can choose the corresponding cashier method for checkout.

WeChat & Alipay

Because all the bank in a statement that directly paid through WeChat & Alipay should transfer to the restaurant’s bank account.

The restaurant needs to fill in the WeChat & Alipay payment application form and send to our customer service. KLT’s staff will assist you to the setup of WeChat & Alipay payments.

When you pay by using WeChat or Alipay, you can use the scanner to scan the payment barcode to complete the payment.

Member Card

To use the member card to pay, you need to use the KLT membership management software. Member software needs to be purchased separately. Please set up the connection between the cashier software and the member software after purchase.

In the payment procedure, click on the membership card, enter the membership card number, and select the member to pay.

Voucher

Use a voucher or a group purchase voucher to pay, click on the voucher / Meituan, enter the amount of the voucher.

Handover and daily payment

Cashier shifts
The cashier will hand over the class, log in to KLT Gourmet System to order the cash register, click on the cash register function in the upper left corner.
Click (or double-click) “Transfer”
Click “OK to shift” to complete the cashier handover.

Daily payment
Log in to KLT Gourmet System to order the cashier, click on the cashier function in the upper left corner.
Click (or double-click) “daily payment”
Click OK to complete the day.

Backup and restore

Stand-alone software requires frequent manual backups to keep your data safe.

Backup
Open KLT Gourmet System back-end management – tools – data backup tools,
Click Export Migration Data, you can transfer the backup to USB or Baidu Cloud.

Restore
Open KLT Gourmet System background management – tools – data backup tool, click Browse, select backup files, click Import migration data, you can restore the data in the backup.

Payment method
